Home Inspection Software: New Hardware Options

The new Palm-Tech Home Inspection App will run on the iPhone, iPad, and Android devices, giving you the choice of many devices to use in the field. Smart phones and tablets are on the cutting edge of technology and allow home inspectors to use a single device to conduct their home inspections. The new app, combined with the latest hardware, give you the ability to take pictures with the device and add them directly into the inspection report. Not only are these devices incredibly convenient, but the Palm-Tech app is extremely easy to use on them. Creating a professional looking home inspection report has never been easier. The app takes advantage of these powerful devices and allows you to swipe through screens and fill out data with the tap of your finger.

HTC Inspire

The Inspire by HTC is a high end Android phone that has some great features. It has a large 4.3" screen and has an 8 MP camera, so you can add great looking photos directly into your report. It is also 4G so speed will not be an issue. With all the great features, it is also slightly heavier than other phones. This is one of the devices we have used for internal testing and have found it to be a great device to use the new app on!

Motorola Xoom

The Motorola Xoom is an Android tablet that packs a lot of punch. It has a 10.1 inch screen and over 10 hours (web browsing on Wi-Fi) of battery life. It also runs the Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) operating system and has a 1GHz Dual Core processor. It also has a 5 MP camera, which is great for a tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is a high-end Android 4G smartphone that features a large, beautiful 4.65" HD screen. It is the first device to feature the Android 4.0 operating system, also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. It has a 5 MP camera and a 1.2 GHZ dual core processor. Even with the large screen, the phone weighs only 5.1 ounces.

Apple iPad2

The Apple iPad2 is one of the sleekest tablets to date. It features many of the same features of the iPhone, but comes with a large 9.7 inch LED backlit display. However, it does not have the same camera as the iPhone and actually lacks a little bit in that department. It does however have a great battery life of up to 10 hours (web browsing on Wi-Fi).
